Submissions
This page will provide a forum for members and others to share their experiences
in relation to plants, animals, other natural phenomena and related events.
Initially we will give some priority to photos (since we know a little about
what we are doing in this regard). We will expand to include slide shows
and videos as time and the skill of the Web Site Manager permit.
The exercise of discretion in terms of good taste and photo quality by those
making submissions will reduce or eliminate the need for the Web Site Manager to
exercise his/her discretion.
Submissions from a great range of photographers, novice to experienced, are encourged.
Viewers are to respect the copyright privileges of the providers.
Images on this web site must not be copied for personal or any other use without
the permission of the owner.
With the permission of the owner, the
Web Site Manager
will, upon request, share information that will allow a viewer to reach the
provider for further discussion.
Submissions to the Photo Gallery Page may range
from 1 or 2 photos to a dozen or more, up to a maximum of 50 photos.
You are welcome to contact the Web Site Manager, Larry
Hamel, (hamell(AT)sympatico.ca) in advance of making a
submission to discuss any questions that you may have.
Each photograph should be sized so that it is a maximum of 600 pixels on the
longer side. With the "Constrain Proportions" option selected, the shorter
side will automatically be in the neighbourhood of 450 pixels. The
resolution need only be in the neighbourhood of 100 dots per inch (maximum of
150 dpi). If these technical requirements present a concern for you,
please consult with the
Web Site Manager. Don't let them get in the way of you
making a submission.
Your submission(s) must be free of commercial advertising.
Send your photos by email. Keep in mind the size limitation on your email
communications.
A separate page will be created to share your photographs. This will allow
you to include some supporting text. Check the Idlewood Graber link below
as an example.
Photo shows are listed with the most recent show first.

Anne and Alan Morgan, KWFN members, produced a photo-trail of their
Bruce Trail hike from Wiarton to Tobermory in 2011. It includes comments
about the Trail, including some of the geology, plants and animals that they
observed on this ~175 km leg.

Above is the title page for their 200 photo series. It is also the last
photo in the series.
